Environmental Protection

In the process of industrialization, environmental pollution is an inevitable problem. If it is not controlled, the consequences will be disastrous. Due to the presence of metals, lipids and other impurities, the traditional chemical precipitation method has poor recovery quality and cannot meet current environmental protection requirements. The ion exchange technology can not only meet better purification needs, has an optimized treatment process, and is low in cost. Therefore, ion exchange resins are widely used in environmental protection fields, such as repairing depleted soil and recovering chromium ions (hexavalent) and nickel ions in electroplating wastewater.

Repairing damaged and severely depleted soil and forming soil on barren land caused by human technological activities are important considerations for environmental protection. In some cases, nutrient-added ion exchange carriers can improve the fertility of natural soils because it contains all the biological ions in a balanced ratio required by plants.

In addition, waste resin and its activation products can also be used in environmental protection. The waste resin is carbonized at a temperature of 500 to 700 °C, and then activated with CO2 at 850 °C for 45 minutes to obtain an activated product. The product has a developed ultra-microporous system with more micropores and mesopores than ordinary adsorption carbon. Therefore, they are excellent in removing small-molecular-sized hydrophobic impurities (such as toluene, diesel) in sewage.
