DescriptionThis product is a non-reinforced Cation Exchange Membrane (CEM) with very low resistance, high selectivity and high stability in pH acidic and basic environments.
Density4.0 - 4.2 mg·cm-2
ApplicationElectrodialysis for demineralisation, desalination, acid recovery applications and others.
StorageDry form: Membranes can be stored dry for an unlimited period of time. However, the membrane must be conditioned (washed and rinsed) before use.
Wet form: Available for short- and medium-term storage (hours to weeks) in unsealed containers in 0.5 - 1.5 wt% NaCl solution or similar neutral pH electrolyte.

Notice For UseMembranes are delivered in H and dry versions. Depending on the application and cell design, assembly can be done in dry (without pretreatment) or wet form.
For optimal performance, it is recommended to rinse the membrane in a NaCl solution (e.g., 0.5 M NaCl solution at 25°C for 24 hours) to remove any additives on the membrane.
Place the membrane sample between stabilizing mesh/spacers to avoid curling.
Do not let the film dry as micro-cracks may appear during shrinkage.
