Ash & Iron Content Analysis of Ionic Resins
INQUIRY
Alfa Chemistry provides resin ash & iron content testing services. Our goal is to provide regular inspections of your resin, find problems as early as possible and provide solutions. We will ensure that your project is delivered at a stable speed, avoid unnecessary economic losses, and maximize benefits. We always escort the needs of our customers.
About
When the resin is used, ash and iron impurities will precipitate on the surface of the resin, causing the pores of the resin to be blocked and difficult to wash out. After long-term accumulation, it will reduce the working exchange capacity of the resin. The presence of iron will also accelerate the degradation of resins, especially anion resins. The Fe2+ absorbed by the cation resin from the raw materials is partially oxidized to Fe3+, which cannot be completely exchanged by H+ during regeneration, and stays in the resin to cause pollution; the iron pollution of the anion resin mainly comes from the regenerated liquid.
Prevention
- Strengthen the pretreatment of raw materials and reduce the content of suspended solids in the raw materials
- Reduce the iron content of raw materials
- Pipes and storage tanks should consider taking necessary anti-corrosion measures
