Description	This membrane is a non-reinforced Per-Fluorinated Sulfonic Acid (PFSA)/PTFE copolymer Cation Exchange Membrane (CEM) with low resistance, high mechanical stability, and high stability in an acidic environment.
Application	Direct Methanol Fuel Cells (DMFC), Electrolysis, Redox-Flow Battery, e.g. Vanadium-Redox-Flow Battery (VRB), using aqueous acidic conditions. Membrane is not stable under alkaline conditions.
Storage	The membrane can be stored dry for an unlimited amount of time. However, the membrane has to be conditioned (washed and rinsed) prior to use.

Notice For Use	The membrane is delivered in H-form and dry form. Direct Methanol Fuel Cell (DMFC) Applications: For optimum performance and lowest resistance it is necessary to pretreat the membrane according to the following prescription: Put the membrane sample in an aqueous 10 wt% HNO3 solution or in 5 vol % H2SO4 solution at minimum 80°C for at least 12 hours. After rinsing with demineralized water (pH ~ 7) the membrane is ready for use (activated). Membranes will expand and contract based on moisture content. VRF Battery Applications: The membrane does not need any pretreatment and is ready for use. Please assemble the membrane in dry form.
